Commitment to a Healthy Environment

When we decided in 2015 to commit ourselves to becoming the first certified Oncology Massage/Facial spa in Los Angeles, we implemented a series of cleanliness protocols to create a safe environment for any of our immuno-compromised client (going through chemotherapy, pregnant, organ transplant recipient, HIV, etc…). The pandemic of the COVID-19 virus caused us to extend our already strict protection protocols even further to minimize the chance of transmission of this virus.

Cleaning Protocols

Our housekeeping staff uses EPA-certified Food Surface Contact Sanitizing agents that are anti-fungal, bactericidal and virucidal. Of course we always thoroughly clean every room and promptly wash all linens after every use. Our laundry products are free of any dyes or perfumes.

Healthy Clients and Staff

We will cancel the appointment of any client and send home any staff member that exhibits signs of illness (frequent cough, fever, difficulty breathing, chills, muscle pain, sore throat, recent loss of taste or smell) or refuses to wear a face covering. Even individuals experiencing otherwise common allergy symptoms (sneezing, sniffling, coughing, red irritated eyes, etc…) will be sent home out of an abundance of caution.

We provide generous sick leave benefits to all staff members for exactly this reason.

Social Distance

We are staggering the scheduled the time between appointments and limiting the number of clients that are in the building to minimize the number of possible interactions between people.

Minimized Contacts

We have improved our ability to accept contactless payments and introduced online intake forms. We have also removed the shared food from the Relaxation Room, as well as the magazines.

Air Filtration

In 2018 we replaced our buildings ancient HVAC system with a state of the art unit that uses an electrostatically charged MERV13 filtration system to filter out airborne contaminants 0.3 microns or larger including dust, smoke, pollen, bacteria, viruses, fungi, mold spores and any other tiny contaminants that can cause disease or discomfort. Each indoor room also has an exhaust fan that during your treatment draws air out of the room, venting outside through the roof.

We have since added individual HEPA air filters in each of the treatment rooms to add an additional layer of filtration.

Yes, We’re Frustrated Too

These steps are as frustrating as they are necessary given the current situation. Please understand this is for your safety as well as ours. We appreciate your patience as we all work together to stay safe and sane through this trying time.
